MIK-START

The Challenge
It's well known that maintaining a client computer today is a costly and time-consuming affair - even in this browser era. This is true both in terms of maintaining the operating system and looking after application programs and application documents such as Office files.

The Solution for MIK Applications
MIK-START is a mini portal that automatically provides the user with access to the latest MIK software and MIK application environments. The user gets his/her "START" screen and can start work immediately. MIK-START automatically takes care of the entire MIK Client administration process from software updates to updating documents and even to enhancing the applications with new modules. In addition to this, MIK-START has been designed to make installing MIK products such as MIK-ONE and MIK-XLREPORT incredibly easy and almost self-explanatory.

Its Functions

• Automated updates of MIK software and MIK application files such as subjects, graphics, excel worksheets, tables, inSight documents and/or complete offline MIK databases.
• Automatic alignment of software and databases for offline clients such as lap tops
• Support for several servers (server farms) holding different MIK applications.
• Company specific symbols for MIK modules can be selected and displayed; it's also possible to integrate other applications such as Office
• Passwords only have to be entered once when MIK-START is started. There is no password requirement when subsequent MIK programs are started.
• Can be customized for user or user groups using MIK-OLAP user-administration feature
